Overcoming Addictions

Many people suffering from drug or alcohol addiction often mistakenly think they can overcome their addictions alone.

In reality, drug addiction can be quite complex. While you or your loved one may very well have a strong desire to quit, successfully recovering from a drug or alcohol addiction requires professional and spiritual assistance.

God desires that we overcome and live in freedom. His desire is that we reconcile the relationships impacted by addiction. Our focus is to challenge individuals for a better understanding of the personal and relational consequences of their choices. Alcohol and drug addiction affects the emotional, spiritual, and relational areas of life. Regardless of the substance or activity, addiction becomes a controlling force in the life of the individual and the family.

Our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (I Corinthians 6:15). Jesus warns against the abuse of alcohol. In Luke 21:34, Jesus told the meaning of a parable, “be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap.”
